I am currently working as Road Safety Instructor / Ride leader for thé council. I also run a women’s cycling project in the west end and I’m training to become a MTB ride leader.
I grew up on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and spent a lot of time in nature with friends and family.
At 19 I moved to Newcastle, and for a while I didn’t have much regular access to it. Later I became more and more aware that spending time in nature was something I really missed and needed in my life. I now spend as much time as possible in ‘the wild’ and try to encourage other women to do the same.
I would like to build networks with like minded women and use the skills to help other women within the community to be able to access the outdoors / wild spaces.
After this training, I see myself taking women out into the green/wild spaces walking, bikepacking and wild camping.
